MLA Kathy Corrigan - Burnaby Deer Lake

We thank You, Lord, that you have called Kathy Corrigan to stand beside her husband in public service. Help her, Lord, to fulfill Your perfect will as she goes about her many responsibilities. Give her stamina, wisdom, courage and time to reflect on You each day. Give her insight into the many complex issues she has to deal with in Burnaby – Deer Lake, and reveal to her those things that are important for her to know to make informed decisions. Bless her family, her health, her home and her workplace, in Jesus Name.

Kathy Corrigan was elected as MLA for Burnaby-Deer Lake on May 12, 2009.


Kathy serves as opposition critic for the Olympics and ActNow BC.

Kathy Corrigan has lived in Burnaby for more than 30 years. She has served for nine years on the Burnaby school board and was chair of the board for two years.

Her involvement in the community includes serving on parent advisory committees, coaching and supporting sports teams, and writing a column on education for the Burnaby NOW.

Kathy Corrigan is a lawyer by training and has worked as a policy analyst, specializing in social, labour and trade policy.

Kathy and husband Derek Corrigan, who is the Mayor of Burnaby, have raised four children.
