MLA: Eric Foster - Vernon-Monashee


Thank you for MLA Eric Foster Lord and for his commitment to his constituency. Thank you for his willingness to serve his community and give him the strength he needs for today God. Guide his steps and may he experience your love and care in a tangible way today we pray. Bless those close to him and give him and his family a time of rest and relaxation this summer. Eric Foster was elected on May 12, 2009 as MLA for Vernon-Monashee in the general provincial election.

Eric is the Deputy Whip and currently a member of the Environment and Land Use Committee. He served previously on the Select Standing Committees on Legislative Initiatives, Parliamentary Reform, Ethical Conduct, Standing Orders, and Private Bills. Eric was also a member of the Agenda and Priorities Committee.

Serving as the Mayor of the Village of Lumby for four years prior to his election as MLA, Eric also served as councilor for the Village of Lumby for 12 years and as a director of the North Okanagan Regional District.

He is a registered forest technician and a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Auxiliary, as well as a director of the North Okanagan Community Futures Development Corporation.

Eric and his wife Janice have been volunteering, working and living in the North Okanagan for more than 20 years.

Eric is a great supporter of sports, the outdoors, his community, arts and culture.
