MLA: Eric Foster - Vernon-Monashee

 
Father, we thank You for MLA: Eric Foster and for his service to the people of British Columbia and the change that he has instigated to make our province better. We ask, Father,  that You would keep him in a place of peace in this next season and that he will know that his steps are ordered by You. Keep him and his family healthy and prosperous.  Amen.

Eric Foster was elected on May 12, 2009 as MLA for Vernon-Monashee in the general provincial election.

Eric is the Government Whip and currently a member of the Environment and Land Use Committee. He served previously on the Select Standing Committees on Legislative Initiatives, and Parliamentary Reform, Ethical Conduct, Standing Orders, and Private Bills. Eric was also a member of the Cabinet Agenda and Priorities Committee.

Serving as the Mayor of the Village of Lumby for four years prior to his election as MLA, Eric also served as councilor for the Village of Lumby for 12 years and as a director of the North Okanagan Regional District.

He is a registered forest technician and a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Auxiliary, as well as a director of the North Okanagan Community Futures Development Corporation.

Eric and his wife Janice have been volunteering, working and living in the North Okanagan for more than 20 years.

Eric is a great supporter of sports, the outdoors, his community, arts and culture.
