MLA Scott Fraser - Member for Alberni Qualicum

Today we are praying for Scott Fraser, member for Alberni Qualicum.

Heavenly Father, we ask you to bless Scott Fraser today.  We honour his track record of community service that is motivated by his concern for others.  We know that you reward those who give themselves for the sake of others and we ask that Your reward for Scott Fraser would be rich and deep.  Strengthen him and use him as a blessing to many others we pray.  Amen.

Scott Fraser was elected as the MLA for Alberni Qualicum on May 17, 2005.
Scott serves as Opposition Critic for Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation.  From 1996 to1999 Scott served as the mayor of the District of Tofino and was involved in the creation of the first UNESCO World Biosphere designation in British Columbia.
Scott has also served on many organizations, including Alberni Clayoquot Regional District Board, Vancouver Island Regional Library Board, Clayoquot Sound Central Region Board, Tourism British Columbia, Vancouver Island Health Board, Tofino/Long Beach Chamber of Commerce, treaty advisory committees, fisheries committees and the Family Court Committee.


Scott was born in Ottawa, Ontario and has been a resident of BC since 1980. His background includes small business, labour, harbour management, fisheries and shellfish aquaculture.
Scott lived in Tofino with his wife and daughter for over 12 years. They now live in the Qualicum Beach area.
