MLA: Robin Austin - Skeena

Lord God, You say in Your Word in Matthew 22:14 "Many are called, but few are chosen."  We give You thanks that you have chosen MLA: Robin Austin to serve in our legislature as the opposition critic for Education and Chair of the caucus committee on Social Policy at this time. We pray and trust that You will direct him and all others involved with public education in our province to a resolution of the issues involved that will bring the most good for the most number of citizens. May You also lead him to innovative and unique approaches to social policies, an area that he is passionate about. Bless his family. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
 
Robin Austin was re-elected as the MLA for Skeena on May 12, 2009. He was first elected to the Legislature on May 17, 2005.

Robin serves as opposition critic for Education and Chair of the caucus committee on Social Policy.

Robin was employed as a Community Schools Coordinator for a Non-Profit Society in Terrace.

Prior to entering the social work field, Robin spent 20 years working in the Private Sector for both large corporations and small businesses associated with the Hotel/Tourism industry. Robin has a B.A. from Strathclyde University in Scotland as well as a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Northern BC.


Robin and his wife have been married for twenty years and are the parents of two young adults.
