Alex Atamanenko is the MP for British Columbia Southern Interior in British Columbia. He is a member of the NDP, and this will be his second term in Parliament.Alex is a member of the Agriculture and Agri-Food Committee and Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure of the Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food. He is also an associate member of the Canadian Heritage, Health and Official Languages Committees. Educated at UBC and U of Toronto with a BA in Physical Education, a teaching diploma, and MA in Russian, Atamanenko has demonstrated that he has a passion for languages and teaching. Alex lives with his wife Ann, a retired French teacher, in Castlegar, BC.
