MLA: Eric Foster - Vernon-Monashee

Father, we thank You for the dedication and commitment that MLA: Eric Foster models. We pray that he will be in perfect peace as he moves into new strategies and that Your blessings will follow him. As summer approaches we ask that there will be rest times with family and those that are close in authentic relationship.  We pray also that his strength is renewed. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Eric Foster was elected on May 12, 2009 as MLA for Vernon-Monashee in the general provincial election.

Eric is the Deputy Whip and currently a member of the Environment and Land Use Committee. He served previously on the Select Standing Committees on Legislative Initiatives, Parliamentary Reform, Ethical Conduct, Standing Orders, and Private Bills. Eric was also a member of the Agenda and Priorities Committee.

Serving as the Mayor of the Village of Lumby for four years prior to his election as MLA, Eric also served as councilor for the Village of Lumby for 12 years and as a director of the North Okanagan Regional District.

He is a registered forest technician and a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Auxiliary, as well as a director of the North Okanagan Community Futures Development Corporation.

Eric and his wife Janice have been volunteering, working and living in the North Okanagan for more than 20 years.

Eric is a great supporter of sports, the outdoors, his community, arts and culture.
