MLA: Mable Elmore - Vancouver-Kensington

Dearest Heavenly Father, Mable Elmore, MLA for Vancouver-Kensington and Opposition Critic for Multiculturalism, Child Care and Early Learning, is a vessel chosen by You to serve the people of our province with her unique talents and experiences.  May she be blessed as she serves and may her experiences and involvements in government cause her to grow in wisdom so that she would be even more valuable to You in this regard.  Help her to see Your hand involved in even the most mundane tasks and may she feel the strength of Your presence in her moments of weariness.  We ask this in Jesus’ Name.

Mable Elmore was elected MLA for Vancouver-Kensington on May 12, 2009.

Mable serves as opposition critic for Multiculturalism, Child Care and Early Learning.

Mable has been a transit operator for 10 years, driving a bus in Metro Vancouver while taking a role in her union, the Canadian Auto Workers Local 111, where she coordinated the "More Buses Now" campaign to improve public bus transit.

Mable is a second generation Filipino-Canadian who has also been active in the peace movement and on immigrant, social justice, women's and gay, lesbian and transgendered issues.
