Hon. Stan Hagen - Comox Valley

Today we are praying for the Hon. Stan Hagen, the MLA for Comox Valley.

Stan Hagen was appointed Minister of Agriculture and Lands on June 23, 2008, and previously served as Minister of Sustainable Resource Management, Minister of Human Resources, Minister of Children and Family Development, and Minister of Tourism, Sport and the Arts.

From 1989 to 1991, Stan served as BC’s Minister of Regional and Economic Development during which he led the establishment of the Small Business Assistance Program and the Business Start-Up Program. In 1990, Stan was appointed Minister of Education, was a member of six cabinet committees and chaired the Canadian Council of Ministers of Education.

Born in New Westminster in 1940, Stan and Judy married in 1967 and have five children.

Father, we thank you for a legacy of leadership and service.  We come to you on behalf of Mr. Hagen today and ask that he would experience Your touch on his life today.  May he know Your presence and love in his life today. 
 
As he carries out his responsibilities as Minister of Agriculture, we ask that you would be with him and help him to serve with excellence and distinction.  Help him as he gives oversight and leadership to this part of our government and economy.  Give him fresh and new ideas and strategies that will cause the Agricultural sector in our province to prosper and grow in every way.  Let your blessing be on him and flow through him today.
